As part of ASPIRE 2K26 (Ahalia Student Programme for Induction, Professionalism, Inno-vation, Responsibility & Excellence), Ahalia School of Management organized a session on “Relevance of Ayurveda in Modern Healthcare” for the newly admitted MBA 2026 – 28 batch on 06 August 2026 at 9.30am in the ASM Seminar Hall. The resource person was Dr. Sandeep Krishnan, Assistant Professor, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College, who shared his expertise on the growing significance of Ayurveda in the contemporary healthcare ecosystem and its relevance for future healthcare management professionals.

Dr. Sandeep began the session by introducing the fundamental principles of Ayurveda, describing it as one of the world’s oldest holistic systems of medicine that focuses on maintaining health through the balance of body, mind and spirit. He explained the concept of preventive healthcare and highlighted how Ayurveda emphasizes healthy living, proper nutrition, lifestyle management and natural healing methods rather than merely treating diseases after they occur. The session also focused on the integration of Ayurveda with modern healthcare. The speaker explained how evidence-based research, technological advancements, quality standards and scientific validation are helping Ayurveda gain wider acceptance across the world. The session concluded with the message that healthcare management professionals of the future must adopt a holistic and patient-centric approach. Dr. Sreenath P S ( Assistant professor, department of Shalya tantra) presented an overview of surgical cases dealt with in Ayurveda, covering diagnosis, treatment protocols, and outcomes.
