INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF DAKSHYA COLLEGE UNION 26-27
The College Union DAKSHYA (2026–27) of Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College was officially inaugurated with great enthusiasm in the presence of faculty members, students, and invited guests. The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by the Welcome Speech delivered by Ms. Dilsha, Vice Chairperson, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and guests.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Sunil Kumar N, Principal, who highlighted the importance of leadership, discipline, and active student participation in academic and extracurricular activities. The gathering was further addressed with welcome notes by Dr. Preethi Jose, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Ajeesh M Pillai, Ahalia ayurveda wellness n senior consultant and Mr. Shibu Chandran, hospital administrator conveyed their best wishes to the newly elected union.
The programme continued with the ceremonial Lamp Lighting, symbolizing the beginning of a new academic and cultural journey. The newly elected union members were introduced, followed by the official unveiling of the union name “DAKSHYA” ,logo and the release of the Union promotional video. The union members then took the oath of office, pledging to serve the student community with dedication and integrity.
Ms. Bismitha presented the Annual Report of the activities of the 2025–26 College Union “Vyuha,” highlighting the major academic, cultural, literary, sports, and student welfare programmes conducted during the previous academic year. This was followed by the presentation of the Union Agenda by Ms. Rinda, General Secretary, outlining the vision, objectives, and planned activities of the newly inaugurated DAKSHYA College Union for the academic year 2026–27.
The programme was enriched by felicitations from Dr. Jyothi Sajayan, Staff Advisor, HOD & Associate Professor, Department of Agadatantra, Dr. Parvathy M. G., Magazine Advisor, Assistant Professor, Department of Shalyatantra, Dr. Sandeep Krishnan, Sports Advisor, Assistant Professor, Department of Swasthavritta Evam Yoga, and Dr. Lekshmi P. S., Arts Advisor, Assistant Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa. They congratulated the newly elected union and encouraged the members to work with dedication, unity, and responsibility.
The Question Bank “BODHI” was officially released by Dr. Sunil Kumar N, Principal, Professor & Head, Department of Kayachikitsa, and the first copy was handed over to Dr. Haripriya H., HOD & Associate Professor, Department of Swasthavritta Evam Yoga. The programme also witnessed the unveiling of the logos of the Allegra Arts Club and Dhrishyam Media Club through a cultural dance performance and promo video Prizes were distributed to the winners of the വായനവാരം competitions and the Union Name Suggestion Contest, appreciating their enthusiasm and creativity.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Rohith, Chairperson, who expressed sincere gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and the organizing committee for their wholehearted support and cooperation in making the inauguration of DAKSHYA College Union 2026–27 a grand success. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. Following the National Anthem, a brief photo session was held with the dignitaries, faculty members, union members, and students. Thereafter, the newly renovated College Union Room was officially inaugurated by Dr. Sunil Kumar N, Principal. The renovated Union Room was dedicated as a workspace to plan, coordinate, and carry out the activities of the DAKSHYA College Union throughout the academic year.
