AUSHADHA SEVAA DINA- MUKKUDI SEVA

As part of the observance of Aushadha Seva Dinam, Mukkudi Seva was conducted at Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital with devotion and enthusiasm.

The Mukkudi was prepared by the students of the 2024 Batch under the guidance of the Department of Rasasastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana. The programme commenced with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of Mukkudi in Ayurveda and its traditional use during the Karkidaka season. The prepared Mukkudi was then respectfully offered to the sacred idol of Lord Dhanwantari by Dr. Sunil Kumar, Principal, followed by a prayer seeking the blessings of the Divine Physician.

On the occasion, Dr. Sunil Kumar (Principal),Dr. Ajesh Pillai(Director Ahalia Wellness, Mr Shibu Rajendran(Hospital Administrator) , Dr Preethi Jose(Medical Superintendent) and Dr. Arya S. Varma, Prof. & HoD. Department of Rasasastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana, addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of preserving Ayurvedic traditions and promoting preventive healthcare practices.

The distribution of Mukkudi was formally commenced by Dr. Sunil Kumar, who presented the serving to Dr. Ajesh Pillai. Thereafter, Mukkudi was distributed to the dignitaries, faculty members, students, staffs and patients symbolising the spirit of service and the holistic principles of Ayurveda.

The programme concluded successfully with the active participation of faculty members, students, and staff, reinforcing the importance of preserving Kerala’s rich Ayurvedic heritage.
