Planting Madana

Dept. of Panchakarma & Dept. of Dravyaguna vijnana of Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College, Palakkad organized the programme “Planting Madana” on behalf of Ayurveda Day Celebration on 09/11/2023. Madana (Randia dumetorum, Rubiaceae Family) is an inevitable drug for Panchakarma treatment as it is having the best fruit for Vamana and Vasti karma. The plant is not so common in Kerala, hence getting saplings of the same is a precious moment for the college. Dr Sheba Sunil, Principal AAMC, Palakkad planted Madana in Medicinal plant garden of the college. Dr Sunilkumar ( Vice principal, AAMC), Mr. Shibu (Administrator), Dr Anoopkumar C A ( HOD Panchakarma), Dr Teres, Dr Sethu, Dr Ankitha and Dr Krishnapriya were present on that occasion. Students of final year BAMS shared the literature regarding the plant.
