NATIONAL PLEDGE AGAINST DRUG ABUSE

Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA)

As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) initiated by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, a National Pledge Against Drug Abuse was conducted at Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College on 18 August 2026. The programme was organised with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraging them to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

Dr. Sandeep Krishnan (YAAD Coordinator) led the students in taking the National Pledge Against Drug Abuse. Dr. Divyasree V. (Nodal Officer, SSGP), Dr. Ranesh A. K. (NSS Programme Officer), and Dr. Sreekutty P. V. (YAAD Coordinator) were present during the programme.

Students of the First Professional and Second Professional BAMS batches actively participated in the programme and took the pledge to uphold their responsibility towards preventing drug abuse and contributing to the creation of a healthy and drug-free society.

The programme successfully conveyed the importance of awareness, prevention, and collective responsibility in combating substance abuse and furthered the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
