National Ayurveda Day 2025

As part of the observance of National Ayurveda Day 2025, the Department of Kayachikitsa organized an exhibition showcasing healthy and nutritious recipes based on Ayurvedic principles on 23rd September 2025. The exhibition was organized with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of Ahara (diet) in maintaining health and preventing diseases, in accordance with the principles of Ayurveda.
Faculties of the Department of Kayachikitsa and students of the 2021 batch actively participated in the preparation and presentation of various healthy recipes. The recipes were thoughtfully selected to demonstrate how commonly available ingredients can be incorporated into a wholesome diet while following Ayurvedic concepts of Pathya Ahara.
The exhibition provided an interactive platform for students and visitors to understand the nutritional and health-promoting value of traditional Ayurvedic food preparations. The participants also explained the ingredients, method of preparation, Ayurvedic relevance and health benefits of the dishes displayed.
The programme successfully emphasized the timeless Ayurvedic principle that food is an important pillar of health and that mindful food choices can contribute significantly to disease prevention and healthy living. The active participation of the faculty members and students made the exhibition informative, engaging and successful. The event also served as an opportunity to promote the practical application of Ayurvedic dietary principles in contemporary life. The exhibition concluded with a renewed message that healthy eating, when guided by the principles of Ayurveda, can be an effective foundation for a healthy and balanced life.
