Awareness poster on Food poisoning
As part of the Karkidaka Chikitsa Awareness Activities, the Department of Agadatantra organized an awareness initiative focusing on Food Poisoning, with the objective of educating the public about its prevention, early recognition, and appropriate first-aid measures.
Food poisoning is more frequently encountered during the monsoon season, when increased humidity, improper food storage, contamination of food and water, and favourable conditions for the growth of microorganisms can contribute to food-borne illnesses. During Karkidakam, awareness regarding food hygiene, safe drinking water, proper food handling and storage, and consumption of fresh and hygienically prepared food becomes particularly important.
As part of this initiative, an awareness poster on Food Poisoning was prepared highlighting the common causes and symptoms, preventive measures, and essential first-aid steps to be followed in case of suspected food poisoning. The poster was designed to provide simple and practical information that can help the community identify warning signs and take appropriate timely action.
