Awareness on lifestyle disorders
As part of the 11th Ayurveda Day 2026, under the theme “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow,” the Department of Panchakarma, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Palakkad, organised a Community Outreach Programme on 25 September 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Ahalia School of Management, Palakkad. The programme focused on creating awareness about lifestyle disorders, their prevention, and management through Ayurveda.
Dr. Anoop Kumar C.A., Professor and Head, Department of Panchakarma, and Dr. H.V. Happy, Assistant Professor, Department of Panchakarma, served as the resource persons. Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal and Director, Ahalia School of Management, delivered the introductory address.
The students and faculties of Ahalia School of Management were the participants .The resource persons discussed the importance of healthy food habits, regular physical activity, stress management, and healthy daily routines. They also explained the Ayurvedic approach to the prevention and management of lifestyle disorders and introduced the participants to the importance of Panchakarma in appropriate clinical situations.
The session was interactive and helped the students and faculty members gain awareness about healthy lifestyle practices, preventive healthcare, and the role of Ayurveda in promoting overall well-being. The programme concluded at 12:30 p.m.
