WORLD MICROBIOME DAY 2025
A seminar on “Microbiomes & Healthcare: A United Approach” was organized by the Department of Pharmaceutics, Ahalia School of Pharmacy, Palakkad, on 27 June 2025 at Ahalia Diabetes Hospital Auditorium. The seminar featured a talk by Dr. Prem Narayanan, Consultant Endocrinologist at Ahalia Diabetes Hospital and a research expert in diabetes and healthcare. He discussed the importance of microbiomes in human health and their relevance to healthcare. As part of the programme, questions were asked to the participants, and rewards were given to students who answered correctly. The interactive session encouraged active participation and enhanced the students’ understanding of the topic.
The seminar was attended by Nikhitha, Dilsha, Gowri, Husna, and Arathy of the 2022 BAMS batch. Certificates of participation were awarded to the students in recognition of their participation in the programme.The seminar was informative and academically enriching, providing valuable insights into the role of microbiomes in healthcare.
