COURT VISIT REPORT-2023 BATCH
As part of the academic curriculum for Second Professional BAMS (2023 Batch), an educational visit to the Palakkad District Court was organized on 10th February 2026 and 11th February 2026. The visit was arranged with the objective of providing students practical exposure to legal procedures and familiarizing them with judicial processes relevant to medical practice.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to:
- Observe live court proceedings.
- Understand court room structure and hierarchy.
- Witness various case trials, including civil and criminal matters.
- Learn about the roles and responsibilities of judges, public prosecutors, defence advocates, and court staff.
- Gain insight into legal documentation and procedural formalities.
The students were able to observe the manner in which evidence is presented, arguments are made, and judgments are delivered. The experience enhanced their understanding of medico-legal responsibilities, professional ethics, and the legal framework governing medical practice.
