YAAD- Youth against Alcohol and Drugs, an initiative in the Ahalia campus

A committee for antidrug surveillance and activities is formed in which 4 faculties and students from different batches are included. The committee used to monitor the campus for any usage of drugs. The committee also works under a team YAAD- Youth against Alcohol and Drugs, an initiative in the Ahalia campus including all educational institutions in Ahalia Campus which work ahainst alcohol drug abuse. As part of the Anti-Drug Campaign, an impactful awareness sessions were organized by YAAD, inaugurated by Honorable Minister of Electricity Shri K Krishnankutty and resource person was Shri Y Shibu, Deputy Commissioner of Excise Palakkad and a motivation session in association with the excise and social welfare dept. All the staff and students filled the affidavit and submitted to the principal.

Posters against alcohol and drugs are displayed in many parts of college premises. A role Play was performed by students highlighting the devastating consequences of alcohol and drug abuse on socio economic life. A digital poster making competition is announced.
