WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY

World No Tobacco Day is marked by a specific theme to address different aspects of tobacco control, such as tobacco marketing to youth, the impact of tobacco on lung health, or the role of tobacco farming on the environment.Nss volunteers of Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College conducted an awareness programme on 31/05/2024, acknowledging the” World No Tobacco Day “.The programme commenced with the Nss song. The inaugural speech was given by Dr. Sheba Sunil, the Principal of AAMC.

Staff adviser Dr. Anoop kumar C A delivered the felicitation speech and the Chief Guest Sir Abdul Bassith, Excise Preventive Officer motivated the audience by sharing his experiences and conveyed his valuable thoughts about controlling tobacco use. After the session two among the Nss volunteers gave out their opinions as a feedback.Sir Abdul Bassith was presented with a memento by the Principal of AAMC recognising his valuable presence in the programme. The programme successfully concluded with a vote of thanks addressed by Narthana S V, Asst. Nss Volunteer Secretary.
