Day 1 – 05/11/2024

VIJNANA SARANI – 2024 International Conference on ‘Urvara’-The search for fresh Insights-Inauguration took place at Ahalia Women and Children Hospital auditorium on November 5th. Dr.Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General of The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences inaugurated the event.

Prof.Dr Rabinarayan Acharya mentioned during the inaugural address that the participants will have the opportunity to see a sustainable institution that combines conventional knowledge with cutting-edge technology at the Ahalia Health, Heritage, and Knowledge Village in Palakkad. The institution boasts a state-of-the-art hospital equipped with all specialties, providing a nurturing environment for holistic health care practices.

We are excited to welcome all participants  across the globe to VIJNANA SARANI – 2024 said the conference organizing chief secretary Dr. Sheba M D (Principal, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College ). She added that this event is a unique opportunity for Ayurvedic practitioners, researchers, and enthusiasts to join forces, learn from each other, and contribute to the advancement of clinical practice in Ayurveda. Together, we can drive the integration of ancient wisdom with contemporary science and technology for the betterment of healthcare.

Welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Deepa K K, Organizing secretary of Vijnana Sarani 2024 followed by Presidential address by Dr. Sheba M D,  Principal & Medical Superintendent, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital and Chief Organizing secretary of Vijnana Sarani 2024.

After the inaugural ceremony and lamp lighting, Prof Vaidya Rabinarayan Acharya addressed the gathering and delivered the inaugural speech ,Dr. K Ampady IIS, addressed the esteemed gathering and Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishore have done the guest of honoring  and he delivered the felicitation followed by vote of thanks by Dr. Rakhee E P, Organizer of Vijnana Sarani 2024 .

The first day witnessed with 2 scientific sessions on the following topics:

Day 2 – 06/11/2024

The second day began with Scientific sessions as follows

2. USG in Infertility-The Third Eye:- Dr. Shyama Devadasan, MBBS, MS(OBG), Fellowship in Feto-Maternal Medicine, Consultant OBGyn, Fetal Medicine specialist, Ambady Fetal and Maternal Care Centre, Thrissur, Apollo Adlux Hospitals, Angamaly.
3. Medico-legal aspects for Gynae Doctors -Rights and Duties : -Adv. K Vijaya, BA LLB, Senior member, District Legal service Authority, Palakkad.
4. IVF Failure …..What next? :- Dr. Raju Rajasekharan Nair, MBBS, MS (OBG-AFMC) – Fellowship in Reproductive medicine, Director – Mitera Hospital, Kottayam.
5. Unraveling Female Subfertility :- Dr. Ajaykumar, MBBS, MD, DGO, DNB, Professor Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, GMCH, Kottayam.

The second day was  concluded with campus visit followed by cultural programmes by the students of Ahalia as well as from the delegates who took part in this international conference.

Day 3 – 07/11/2024

The third day began with Scientific sessions as follows:

1. Male Infertility – An overview of causes and diagnosis :- Dr. Gireesh Kumar, BAMS, MBBS, MD (General Medicine), Fellowship in Diabetology, DM Aster Hospital Doha, Qatar.
2. Science behind the ART :- Dr. Parasuram Gopinath, MBBS, MS(OBG), FICOG Senior Consultant and Scientific Director CIMAR – The WOMEN’s Hospital, Kochi.
3. Managing Endometrial Factors in Infertility :- Prof. Dr. Sujatha Kadam, BAMS, MS, PhD, DEAN(Academic and Administration), All India Institute of Ayurveda Goa.

Followed by Valedictory functions:

About 400 Ayurveda doctors and researchers from different parts of the country attended the conference. The conference witnessed over 150 scientific presentations.

Dr. Jithesh T Poojary (Alva’s Ayurveda Medical College, Moodabdiri) bagged first prize in essay competition – senior level and thereby won the tittle ‘Ahalia Bhisak Prathibha’ and in junior level Aiswarya V K (Maria Ayurveda Medical College, Thottavaram) won the title ‘Ahalia Yuva Prathibha’. Dr. Reeba Lopez and Soumya S won second prize in senior and junior level essay competition respectively.

Dr. Sariga S (PNNM Ayurveda Medical College, Shornur) and Dr. ARYA P (Government Ayurveda Medical College, Bengaluru) won first and second prize in paper presentation respectively.

Dr. Sreelakshmi K S & Dr. Anusha D P (Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Medical College, Ollur) and Dr. Sumayya (PNNM Ayurveda Medical College, Shornur) won first and second prize in reels making competition respectively.

Dr. Vandana K Vasudevan (Ayurveda College, Coimbatore) and Sanjana (Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Manglore) bagged first and second prize in e-poster competition respectively.

The prize distribution was done by Mrs. Sriya Gopal (Managing Trustee, Ahalia group of institutions), Dr. Sujatha Kadam,  (BAMS, MS, PhD, DEAN(Academic and Administration) All India Institute of Ayurveda Goa), Dr. Parasuram Gopinath (MBBS, MS(OBG), FICOG, Senior consultant and Scientific Director CIMAR-The WOMEN’s Hospital, Kochi) and Dr. Sheba M D (Principal, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College, Palakkad).

Welcome address of valedictory was by Dr. Anoop Kumar C A (Staff Advisor and HOD, Department of Pancakarma). Dr. Deepa K K (Organizing Secretary, Vijnanasarani 2024) delivered the valedictory address .The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Ammu K. Sasi (Organizer, Vijnana Sarani , 2024).
