Sahyadyuti Inauguration

The inauguration of SAHYADYUTI – 6 DaysCME for faculties of Dravyaguna vijnana funded by the Ministry of AYUSH and sponsored by RAV( Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth) organised by the Department of Dravyaguna Vijnana, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College, was held on 22nd September 2025 at Auditorium, Ahalia Diabetes Hospital.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. G.G. Gangadharan (Director, Ramaiah Indic Specialty Ayurveda), with the presidential address by Dr. Sheba Sunil (Principal, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College). Smt. Shriya Gopal (Managing Trustee, Ahalia International Foundation) graced the occasion with her presence. Felicitations were offered by Dr. Rabinarayan Acharya (Director General, CCRAS), Dr. Anoop Kumar C.A. (Professor & HOD, Dept. of Panchakarma), and Dr. Haridasan K. (Consultant, Bioresources, Green Ahalia). The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Deepa K.K. (Professor & HOD, Dept. of Dravyaguna Vijnana) and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sethu R. (Associate Professor, Dept. of Dravyaguna Vijnana).

Around 30 delegates from various states of India are attending this CME, bringing together a diverse academic community. The central theme of the programme is to explore the rich biodiversity of the Western Ghats, and to connect this natural wealth with innovative methods of Ayurvedic drug research. Through lectures, interactive sessions, and field explorations, the CME aims to provide deeper insights into medicinal plant resources, their sustainable utilization, and their potential in developing newer formulations. The discussions are designed to bridge traditional knowledge with modern scientific validation, thereby inspiring faculty members to contribute towards evidence-based Ayurveda
