Pre Monsoon Cleaning and awareness week

Monsoons are seasonal wind patterns that bring significant changes in weather, typically resulting in heavy rainfall in certain regions of Kerala. During this season several disease become more prevalent. Nss volunteers of Ahalia Ayurveda medical college and the residents of village Vadakarapathy celebrated this week (20/05/2024– 25/05/2024) as “Pre Mansoon cleaning and awareness week “. The programme commenced with Nss song. The welcome speech was given by Nss volunteer secretory Nevil Varghese and Dr. Sheba Sunil, the Principal of AAMC inaugrated the programme by sharing her thoughts about monsoon weather and the diseases related. Administrator Mr. Shibu addressed upon the events to be conducted during the week. The inauguration function was disclosed with a vote of thanks given by Nss volunteer Asst. Secretory Narthana S V.

An awareness campaign about diseases that may spread during monsoon and its precautions was conducted on the day. Poster’s and charts were made for the same. As a next step few pits and areas prone to stagnation of rain water around the college campus and surroundings of Vadakarapathy village was closed by our Nss volunteers under the supervision of our NSS Programme Officer Dr. Rakesh R Babu.
