Out campus visit – 2023 batch
As a part of NCISM curriculum second professional BAMS students were taken to an out campus visit to Herbal garden under Pilikula Biological Park, Mangalore, Karnataka on 12/12/2025, Friday. Students got the opportunity to explore a well-maintained vast medicinal plant garden under the park. The medicinal plant garden area spread across 10 acres of land, where it houses many endangered and rare medicinal flora. Students got the opportunity to understand the importance of identification and conservation of medicinal plants. Sri. Ramakrishna Marati, In- charge of Pilikula Biological park explained about the efforts taken by them for ecological conservation. Sri. Udaya kumar Shetty, guided the students for field visit across medicinal plants area and help students identify the plants and shared his knowledge regarding the usages of various rare plants. 28 students from 2023 batch along with Dr. Sethu R (Associate Professor, Department of Dravyaguna vijnana), Dr. Minu Chandran (Associate Professor, Department of Samhitha and Siddhantha), Dr. Krishna Priya A (Assistant Professor, Department of Dravyaguna Vijnana) attended the field visit.
