NSS SPECIAL CAMP 2026

Day 1 – 01 January 2026 (Thursday)

The seven-day NSS Special Camp was formally inaugurated at 9.00 am at G.H.S.S. Kozhippara. The programme began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Ranesh A.K, NSS Programme Officer, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital.

The inaugural session was presided over by Dr.Anoopkumar C A, Prof. & Hod. Dept. Panchakarma, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, who highlighted the importance of social responsibility among youth. The camp was officially inaugurated by the President of Vadakarapathy Panchayat, Sri. Dinesh S.Felicitations were offered by Sri. Shibu Rajendran, Administrator of Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Kum. Narthana, 2nd Year NSS Secretary. The inaugural day set a strong foundation for the camp activities with active participation and enthusiasm.

In the afternoon, at 2.00 pm, an awareness class on “Ice Breaking and Youth Empowerment” was conducted by Nafih K, UNDP Certified Trainer at NalTER, which motivated volunteers and enhanced their communication skills.The day concluded with the establishment of an Herbal Garden (Oushadhodyanam) at 4.30 pm, emphasizing the importance of medicinal plants and environmental conservation.

Day 2 – 02 January 2026 (Friday)

The second day began at 6.30 am with a Yoga Training Session led by Dr. Farshad K.H., promoting physical and mental well-being among volunteers.

At 9.00 am, NSS volunteers conducted an Health Awareness Survey, interacting with local residents and collecting valuable data related to health and hygiene.

After lunch, volunteers visited the “Sukrutham” Old Age Care Centre as part of elderly care activities, spending time with inmates and understanding their needs.

Day 3 – 03 January 2026 (Saturday)

The third day commenced at 8.00 am with an Ayurveda Medical Camp, where free medical consultation and basic health check-ups were provided to the local community by qualified professionals.

At 3.00 pm, a general awareness class was conducted focusing on health, lifestyle, and social responsibility. The sessions helped volunteers and participants gain deeper insights into community-oriented healthcare and service.

Day 4 – 04 January 2026 (Sunday)

Day four was dedicated to environmental cleanliness and creativity. At 8.00 am, volunteers participated in the “Malinyamuktha Dhoni” cleanliness drive, contributing to waste management and environmental hygiene in the area.

In the evening, at 4.00 pm, the programme “Nirangaliloode Maattam” (Change Through Colours) was organized as a wall painting activity, where volunteers conveyed social messages related to cleanliness, awareness, and positivity through art.

Day 5 – 05 January 2026 (Monday)

The day started with a Yoga Training Session at 6.30 am.

At 9.00 am, an awareness class on “Digital World – For Youth” was conducted, aligning with the camp theme of digital literacy. The session highlighted safe and responsible use of digital platforms.

At 3.00 pm, volunteers actively engaged in Digital Poster Making, creating informative posters on digital awareness and responsible online behavior.

Day 6 – 06 January 2026 (Tuesday)

The sixth day also began with Yoga Training at 6.30 am.

At 9.00 am, a wall painting programme titled “Jeevithamaan Lahari” (Life is the Real Addiction) was conducted, spreading awareness against substance abuse.

In the afternoon, at 3.00 pm, volunteers prepared posters against drug abuse, reinforcing the message of a healthy, addiction-free life among youth and the general public.

Day 7 – 07 January 2026 (Wednesday)

The final day of the camp featured the Valedictory Function and Camp Evaluation at 9.00 am. Volunteers and organizers reviewed the activities conducted over the seven days and shared their experiences.The session emphasized the impact of the camp on both the community and the volunteers, highlighting lessons in leadership, service, and social commitment. The camp concluded successfully with a strong sense of satisfaction and unity among all participants.

The seven-day NSS Special Camp was successfully conducted with diverse activities focusing on health, environment, digital literacy, social awareness, and youth empowerment. Each day was filled with fun, realizations, motivations by the volunteers.The camp truly reflected the spirit of the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You,” and left a lasting positive impact on the volunteers and the local community.
