MoU SIGNING AND EXCHANGING

A memorandum of Understanding to carry out the project entitled “Inventory of Phyto-diversity of medicinal importance used in Ayurveda of Ahalia campus, Palakkad” was formally signed and exchanged between the Assistant director in charge Dr. Sanjiv Kumar,Assistant Director (In-charge), National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma, Cheruthuruthy and Dr. Sheba M D, Principal, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College on 12th November, 2025.

The official event started by 12:00pm with the welcome address by Dr. Deepa K K (Professor & HOD, Department of Dravyaguna vijnana, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical college). Dr. Sheba M D, Principal, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical college addressed the gathering with the presidential address. After which the MoU was signed between the official heads of both the institutions and exchanged. Dr. Sanjiv Kumar (Assistant Director (In-charge), National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma, Cheruthuruthy) delivered the keynote address. The implementation of the project was felicitated by Dr. V C Deep, Assistant Director(Ayurveda), NARIP, Dr. Sariga K S, Research officer(Ayurveda) – NARIP, and Dr. Anoop Kumar C A, Professor and HOD, Department of Panchakarma, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical college. The official gathering was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Sethu R, Associate Professor, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College, Palakkad.

NARIP is a pioneer institute of CCRAS devoted to research in various domains of Ayurveda since its inception in 1971. This collaboration aims primarily to create an inventory of floral diversity of the Ahalia campus especially the medicinal plants. The inventory primarily includes the documentation of the medicinal plants with all relevant ayurvedic literary references as well as updated research updates. The project marks the beginning of many pioneering research activities in the field of Ayurveda.
