Guest Lecture

The Department of Dravyaguna Vijnana, in association with Green Ahalia, organized an insightful guest lecture for the second professional BAMS students on 13th June 2025. The session was conducted at Pranavam Auditorium, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The invited guest speaker was Dr. Ranesh Moochikal, Assistant professor and curator OF Jazan university herbarium, Department of biology, Jazan university, Saudi Arabia. He is a renowned expert in the field of medicinal plants and herbarium techniques. He delivered an engaging and informative lecture on the topic ‘Herbarium’, elaborating on its importance, preparation methods, and its relevance in the field of Ayurvedic studies and research.

The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Deepa K. K (Professor and HOD, Department of Dravyaguna vijnana, AAMC), who set the tone for the session. The event was graced with felicitations by Dr. Haridasan K Advisor, Green Ahalia and Dr. Anoop kumar C. A (Professor and HOD, Department of Panchakarma) who appreciated the efforts of the department in organizing such academic initiatives for student enrichment.The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Krishna Priya A (Assistant professor, Department of Dravyaguna vijnana) expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, dignitaries, organizing team, and all participants.

The lecture was highly informative and was well received by the students, contributing to their academic and practical understanding of the subject.
