EDUCATIONAL VISIT FOR 3RD YEAR BAMS STUDENTS (2020 BATCH), DEPT OF SWASTHAVRITTA

Dept of Swasthavritta, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College, Palakkad conducted an Educational Visit for the 3rd year BAMS students (2020 batch) on 2nd February 2024. 48 students along with 2 accompanying teachers went for the visit. Students reached Nila Nature Cure & Ayurveda Centre, Mayannur, Thrissur at 09:30 am. The Staff explained and demonstrated Eye wash, Jala Neti, Mud therapy, Hydrotherapy and Sun bath and provided healthy naturopathic diet for the team.

Then they reached Water Treatment Plant, Kerala Water Authority, Malampuzha by 3 pm and the staff explained and showed Back washing, aeration and flocculation tank, Tests to identify pH and Hardness of water. Then they reached Milk Pasteurisation Unit, Milma Palakkad Dairy, Kalepully, Palakkad by 5 pm. They were provided with surgical head cap. They saw different levels of pasteurisation. Staff of Milma pasteurisation unit explained the procedure and levels of pasteurisation, FSSAI standards for milk and milk products, different types of packets of Milma and the difference in the milk quality and contents, ghee and curd packing unit.
