Class on Article publication & Research
Under the guidance of RIEDC, a special class on Article publication and Reasearch was conducted for the House Surgeons of Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College on 8 December 2025. The session was handled by Dr. Sethu R. Assistant professor department of Dravyaguna.and held at the 2022 Classroom from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
The objective of the class was to provide the house surgeons with an understanding of the fundamentals of research writing, types of research journals, structure of scientific articles, and the importance of evidence-based practice in Ayurveda. Dr. Sethu R. explained the components of a research article, including abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and references, using simple and practical examples.
The session also highlighted how to critically read journal articles, identify authentic sources, and avoid plagiarism. Students were introduced to indexing databases, peer-review processes, and the significance of publishing research outcomes.
The class was highly informative, interactive, and beneficial for the house surgeons, helping them develop confidence in academic writing and research interpretation. The participants expressed that the session enhanced their understanding of how to approach scientific literature effectively.
