Charaka Jayanthi Report

Depatment of Samhita Siddhanta and Sanskrit celebrated “CHARAKA JAYANTHI” on 1-8-2022 with an enlightening seminar. Venue was at auditorium, Ahalia Diabetes Hospital. The programme started at 9.30 am with prayer. Welcome speech was done by Sri. Sreejith, Assistant professor, Dept. of Samhita Sanskrit Siddhanta. Function inaugurated by Dr. M.D Sheba, Principal, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College by lighting the lamp and an inaugural speech. Felicitation done by Dr. Asundi Vijaya laxmi, Vice principal, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College, Dr. Sunilkumar .N, Prof and HOD, Dept of Kayachikitsa. Dr. Abdul Sukkur.M, Associate Prof and HOD of Dept. of Samhita Sanskrit Siddhanta spoke a few words about the importance of the day. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Minu Chandran, Assistant professor, Dept. of Samhita Sanskrit Siddhanta.

Later first professional BAMS students of Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College played a skit based on 2 siddhantas explained in Charaka Samhita. Then Dr. Abdul Sukkur.M, Associate Prof and HOD of Dept. of Samhita Sanskrit Siddhanta presented a paper “KNOW CHARAKA SAMHITA”

About 15 faculties and 100 students attended the function.
