HOUSE SURGEONS ORIENTATION SESSION ON ENTREPRENEURIAL OPPORTUNITIES IN AYUSH

As part of the Shishiksha – House Surgeons Orientation Programme for the 2021 Batch, an orientation session on “Entrepreneurial Opportunities in AYUSH” was conducted on 28 September 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The session was delivered by Dr. Krishna Priya A, Nodal Officer, IEDC, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College.
Session Summary
The session provided an overview of the entrepreneurial opportunities available in the AYUSH sector. The speaker highlighted potential avenues such as Ayurveda healthcare services, wellness centres, herbal and Ayurveda-based products, nutraceuticals, digital health initiatives, education, research and innovation. The importance of innovation, skill development, identifying market needs and developing sustainable ventures was also discussed. The session encouraged house surgeons to explore entrepreneurship as an additional career pathway alongside clinical practice.
Programme Outcome
The session created awareness among the house surgeons about emerging entrepreneurial
opportunities in AYUSH and encouraged them to explore innovative, self-employment and
entrepreneurship-oriented career options. 30 students of 2021 batch attended the session
