11 th Ayurveda day celebrations

As part of the 11th Ayurveda Day Celebration, various programmes were organized at Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College on 23rd September 2026. The celebration aimed to promote awareness about Ayurveda, its principles, healthy living practices, and its relevance in contemporary healthcare.
The celebrations commenced with Dhanvantari Homam at 8:00 AM, invoking the blessings of Lord Dhanvantari, the deity associated with Ayurveda and healing.
The main programme was conducted from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the college courtyard. The inauguration address was delivered by Dr. Arya S. Varma, HOD and Professor, Department of Rasasastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana. This was followed by felicitation speeches by Dr. Ajesh M. Pillai, Director, Ahalia Ayurveda Wellness; Dr. Preethi Jose, Medical Superintendent; Mr. Shibu Rajendran, Hospital Administrator; and Dr. Anoopkumar C. A., HOD and Professor, Department of Panchakarma.
The Ayurveda Day Pledge was administered by Dr. Arya S. Varma, which was repeated by the students and other staff members present.
An Ayurveda Exhibition was organized by various departments with active participation from students. Students from Ahalia Public School were also invited to participate and explore the exhibits, providing them with an opportunity to learn about Ayurveda in an interactive manner.
A Food Expo was conducted alongside the exhibition, highlighting the importance of wholesome food and healthy dietary practices from an Ayurvedic perspective.
A quiz based on the Ayurveda Day theme was conducted for the participants, with particular emphasis on students from Ahalia Public School. The quiz provided an engaging opportunity for students to enhance their knowledge of Ayurveda.
Patient Awareness Programmes were also conducted as part of the celebration to educate patients about Ayurveda, healthy lifestyle practices, preventive healthcare, and appropriate dietary and daily routines.
The various programmes provided an informative and engaging platform for students, staff, school children, and patients to learn about Ayurveda and its practical relevance in daily life. The active participation of everyone contributed to the successful conduct of the 11th Ayurveda Day Celebration.
