A.M.M.U VISIT (2023 Batch)

As a part of NCISM curriculum, a visit was organized for the 2nd Professional BAMS students to the Ahalia Medicine Manufacturing Unit by Department of Agadatantra on 27/03/26 with the objective of providing practical exposure to the preparation of Vilwadi Gulika, an important Ayurvedic formulation. During the visit, the in charge of the manufacturing unit explained in detail the various stages involved in the preparation of Vilwadi Gulika, including the selection and processing of raw materials, grinding, mixing, formation of gulika, and methods of drying and storage. The session was interactive, allowing students to observe each step closely and clarify their doubts. The visit proved to be highly informative and helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, enhancing the students understanding of Ayurvedic pharmaceutical processes. 38 students from 2023 batch along with Dr. Jyothi Sajayan (Associate Professor & HOD, Dept of Agadatantra) and Dr. Sreekutty PV (Assistant Professor, Dept of Agadatantra) attended the visit.
