10th INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA – 2024
In connection with the 10th International Day of Yoga 2024, Dept of Swasthavritta arranged a few series of programs
YOGA TRAINING SESSION ON “YOGA FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH” FOR ANGANWADI TEACHERS OF KOZHINJAMPARA PANCHAYATH (18TH AND 20TH JUNE 2024)
A 2-day training session on YOGA FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH was done for Anganwadi teachers of Kozhinjampara Panchayath on 18th & 20th June 2024 at Nattukal Anganwadi unit, Kozhinjampara by Dr. Preethimol T P, Assistant Professor, Dept of Swasthavritta, AAMCH. The session included demonstrating Yoga poses, Pranayama, and meditation suitable for women’s health. More than 20 Anganwadi teachers participated in the session.
COMPETITIONS IN CONNECTION WITH INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY (18th to 21st JUNE 2024)
Department of Swasthavritta conducted various competitions in connection with IDY like the YOGA “REELS” MAKING COMPETITION, the YOGASANA MODEL MAKING COMPETITION, and the YOGA DANCE COMPETITION for the BAMS students of AAMCH. Students actively participated in all the competitions. First and Second prize winners were awarded with certificates and a cash prize of Rs.1000/- and Rs.500/- respectively.
YOGA DEMONSTRATION SESSION FOR STUDENTS OF AHALIA SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT (20th JUNE 2024)
A yoga demonstration session was organized for the MBA students of Ahalia School of Management on 20th June 2024 at 3 pm by Dr Farshad K H, Yoga Instructor, Dept of Swasthavritta at Malhar Auditorium, AAMCH. The session focussed on breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and tips for mental wellness and for improving memory and concentration. 30 students participated in the session which concluded by a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Krishnanjali, Staff, Ahalia School of Management.
21/06/2024 – FRIDAY – INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2024
- Common Yoga Protocol Demonstration:
As per the instruction of the Ministry of Ayush, the Dept of Swasthavritta and NSS conducted the Common Yoga Protocol Demonstration in the Malhar Auditorium of AAMCH from 07:30 am to 08:30 am. The session was organized by Dr. Haripriya H, Associate Professor & HOD, Dr. Preethimol T P, Assistant Professor, Dept of Swasthavritta, AAMCH, Dr. Rakesh R Babu, NSS Program Officer and the demonstration was performed under the instruction of Dr Farshad K H, Yoga Instructor, Dept of Swasthavritta, AAMCH. BAMS students, House Surgeons, and Staff took part in the demonstration.
- 10th International Day of Yoga – Official function
The session was conducted in the Malhar Auditorium, AAMCH from 10:30 am onwards. The session began with the Yoga geet by students. The welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Haripriya H, Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Swasthavritta, AAMCH. Inauguration of the official function and Presidential address was done by Dr Sheba M D, Principal, AAMCH. Dr. Ajesh M Pillai, Senior Consultant, AAMCH, Dr.Anoop Kumar C A, Staff Advisor and HOD, Dept of Panchakarma, and Mr. Shibu Rajendran, Hospital Administrator, AAMCH did felicitation of the program. It was followed by a Yoga Dance Competition for different batches of BAMS students of AAMCH. Then there was the distribution of prizes for the winners of various competitions. Later there was a display of reels of winners of the Yoga “Reels” Making Competition and a short video of the Yogasana Model Making Competition. A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Preethimol T P, Assistant Professor, Dept of Swasthavritta, AAMCH and the session ended with the National Anthem.
- Ahalia Yoga Class at Ahalia Women & Children’s Hospital
A practical Yoga session on general wellness for the staff and students of Ahalia Health, Heritage and Knowledge Village was conducted by Dr. Farshad K H, Yoga Instructor, Dept of Swasthavritta at AWACH Auditorium on 21st June 2024 at 10 am. Nearly 40 participants were there in the session. A video contest was organized concerning the International Day of Yoga for children which Dr. Preethimol T P, Assistant Professor, Dept of Swasthavritta, AAMCH, judged.
- Yoga Demonstration Session for Students of Ahalia School of Commerce & Mathematics
A yoga demonstration session was organized for the BBA students of Ahalia School of Commerce & Mathematics on 21st June 2024 at 3 pm by Dr. Farshad K H, Yoga Instructor, Dept of Swasthavritta at Malhar Auditorium, AAMCH. The session explained the importance of Yoga along with the Pranayama demonstration. 20 students participated in the session which concluded by 4 pm.
